On July 10, 2019, the Cyprus National Competent Authority for market security regulation, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), decided to implement national measures to restrict the marketing and sale of CFDs and binary options. CySEC's regulation complies with the European Securities and Markets Authority's ("ESMA") temporary product intervention measures, as well as binary options. The marketing, distribution and sale of binary options to retail is prohibited in Cyprus.
